&Beyond Mnemba Island

Mnemba Island is a tiny atoll located 1.5 miles off the northeast coast of Zanzibar populated solely by &Beyond staff and guests. It’s a remote escape only an hour from busy Stone Town. Each of the twelve rustic bandas at the resort are tucked into a casuarina pine forest along a private beach. They are all decorated in a laid-back style and are the perfect place to unwind after an active day. Guests can snorkel directly from the beach in the calm clear waters that surround the island. Excursions to other dive spots, sunset dhow cruises, and tours of Zanzibar are available as well. Zanzibar has rich food traditions because it was a hub of the spice trade in the Indian Ocean for centuries. The food at Mnemba Island is flavorful, locally sourced, and simple, and can be enjoyed in the thatched waterfront dining area or on the beach under the stars.
