Thamo Telele is a private safari-style lodge on the Thamalakane River just outside Maun, set on Maun's only private game reserve and made up of eleven units: nine safari tents raised on wooden platforms plus two thatched honeymoon chalets, each with freestanding bath, outdoor shower and air conditioning. Its signature is a resident herd of giraffe that roam the reserve, the source of the name (Setswana for 'long neck'), and guests can also game drive, walk, ride horses and bird among more than 300 recorded species. Close to the airport, it works well as a first or last night before or after a Delta safari.
