Bwindi Lodge is Volcanoes Safaris' gorilla-trekking lodge on the northern edge of Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. It has ten hand-built bandas — eight standard and two deluxe — of stone and timber, glass-fronted to face the forest canopy across a stream. Its signature is a private footpath leading straight from the lodge into the forest, so gorilla treks can begin on foot from the door, and it is run on Volcanoes' community-conservation model.
