Charlie is Nomad Tanzania's roving expeditionary walking camp, an ultra-light mobile setup of four walk-in tents for up to six guests with shared bathrooms and no pool, spa or air-conditioning. From July to mid-October it moves through Ugalla, a vast, little-visited western frontier of floodplains, palm forests and shifting river channels — the kind of remote, empty wilderness the camp was built for. The focus is walking: long, unhurried days on foot across varied country, with space and solitude in place of lodge luxury. It takes its name from one of Nomad's earliest mobile expedition camps. Minimum age 14.
