Nkorombo is Alex Walker's Serian mobile camp inside the Masai Mara National Reserve, pitched on a private site along the bank of the Mara River. It's five traditional Selous-style canvas tents, each with an en-suite flush toilet and a time-honoured bucket shower, giving it a more classic, thoroughly canvas feel than the rest of the Serian portfolio. The camp sits among wild olive and croton beside a lively salt lick that draws black rhino, lion and leopard, and just round the river-bend is one of the wildebeest crossing points, prime between July and November.
