Charlie is Nomad Tanzania's reimagined expeditionary walking camp — an ultra-light roving camp of four walk-in tents for up to six guests, two shared bathrooms, removable flysheets for stargazing and a small crew that travels with it. In its Sanjan season, roughly November to May, it sets up in Rift Valley country of dramatic cliffs, gorges and granite escarpment deep in Maasai heartland — a landscape of scale and geology rather than classic game-viewing plains. The walking is the point: varied, atmospheric days through riverine woodland, open plains and steep gorges, at an unhurried rhythm of dawn coffee, picnic breakfasts, afternoon rest and sundowners. Wildlife reveals itself quietly — vultures overhead, cattle on the move — rather than through big-game pursuit. Minimum age 16.
