Tangulia Mara is one of the original Maasai-owned and -run camps in the Maasai Mara, built on a rocky hill on the reserve's western boundary near Musiara Marsh and co-owned by well-known guide Jackson Looseyia. Accommodation is seven en-suite tents plus a two-bedroom family tent, each with a spacious verandah overlooking a natural salt lick that draws wildlife at dawn and dusk, and all facing the Mara River. The camp is solar-powered and entirely locally owned.
