Sasaab is a Moroccan-inspired luxury camp in the Samburu National Reserve of northern Kenya, its nine open-sided tented rooms topped with thatch and set with private plunge pools above the Ewaso Nyiro River. The open design keeps things cool in the dry, rugged north, and days run to game drives for elephant, lion, and the endangered Grevy's zebra, spa treatments, and camel rides or walks to rocky outcrops for sundowners. Children are welcome, and the camp supports the local Samburu community through employment, schools, and clinics.
