Great Fish River Lodge sits on the banks of the Great Fish River in the malaria-free, 54,000-acre Kwandwe Private Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape. It has nine thatched suites, each with a private plunge pool and glass-fronted views over the river gorge. Kwandwe is a noted rhino-conservation reserve, and guests can join a multi-night Rhino Conservation Safari to track and notch rhino alongside its ecologists (May-September).
