Basecamp Samburu lies within the 200,000-acre Kalama Conservancy in northern Kenya, with five tents facing the Samburu wilderness and the peak of Mount Ololokwe. Two elevated star beds let guests sleep out under the sky, one with a jacuzzi and one with a private dining area. Game drives range across Kalama and the neighboring Samburu National Reserve, with night drives permitted in the conservancy. Solar-powered and rainwater-harvesting, the camp is Silver-rated by Ecotourism Kenya.
