Kicheche Mara Camp sits in the Mara North Conservancy, a private tract bordering the Maasai Mara National Reserve where vehicle numbers are capped and off-road driving, night drives and guided walks are all permitted. Eight en-suite tents, including a two-bedroom family suite, look across a valley and seasonal watercourse in a small, solar-powered camp that holds Eco Tourism Kenya's Gold rating. The focus is unhurried, photography-led game viewing with experienced resident guides — away from the crowds of the public reserve but on the same plains game. Children are welcome, with bush walks reserved for ages twelve and over.
