Charlie is Nomad Tanzania's lightweight roving walking camp rather than a fixed lodge — four walk-in tents for up to six guests, two shared bathrooms, removable flysheets for stargazing, and a small crew that moves with the camp. From July to October it pitches along the Ruaha River in southern Tanzania's Ruaha National Park, one of the country's largest and least-visited parks. As the dry season deepens the river shrinks and wildlife concentrates on the floodplain edges, tracks clear and visibility opens up. Days follow the cool hours — slow, attentive walking safaris, a game drive as the evening sun sets, and quiet downtime in camp — in remote country that rewards exploring on foot over lodge comforts. Best suited to walkers; minimum age 16.
