San Camp is a Natural Selection camp pitched on the edge of the Makgadikgadi salt pans, seven white Meru-style tents (five twins and two doubles) styled after 1940s East African safari expeditions with palm-fringed decks facing the open horizon. The draw is the vast, otherworldly emptiness of the pans themselves, explored on quad bikes across the salt crust in the dry season, alongside habituated meerkats and walks with Zu/'hoasi Bushmen. It sits next to its sister property Jack's Camp and typically opens only in the dry season as the pans are impassable when wet.
