King Lewanika is Time + Tide's lodge in Liuwa Plain National Park, the only permanent camp in this vast Western Zambia floodplain — home to the second-largest wildebeest migration in Africa — built in partnership with African Parks and the Zambian Department of National Parks to fund the park's protection. It's six simply styled luxury safari tents plus a family tent, with open views across the plain, each with an outdoor shower and a veranda for the sunset. Game drives run alongside canoe safaris once the plain floods (there are no hippos or crocodiles for carefree paddling), and guests can sleep out overnight under the Milky Way. All ages are welcome.
