Chicari Camp is a seasonal tented camp in Mozambique's Gorongosa National Park, the centrepiece of one of Africa's most ambitious rewilding efforts led by the government and the Carr Foundation. It has ten canvas tents — eight safari tents plus two treehide tents raised at the base of a wooden tree hide — with solar power and en-suite bathrooms. Pitched near a waterhole for wildlife sightings straight from the deck, it is the more immersive and adventurous of the park's two camps, and pairs well with the more comfortable Muzimu Lodge.
