• Pick up your rental car then…
  • Stay in Nelson (Pihopa Retreat?) and visit Abel Tasman National Park
  • -or- stay at Bay of Many Coves if we can make the price work

• Shared boat cruise

• Town, relaxation, or short coastal hike. Too many days here?

• Check out and drive to Kaikoura
• Check in at Hapuku Lodge & Tree Houses

Day 5: February 3

• Surfing Excursion for James
• Whale Watching Cruise for Sally

Day 6: February 4

• Check out from Hapuku Lodge and drive to Christchurch
• Christchurch hotel?

Day 7: February 5

• Christchurch city and garden tour

Day 8: February 6

• Check out and drive to Dunedin
• Check in to the Fable Hotel

Day 9: February 7

• James goes on a surfing excursion near Dunedin
• Sally explores town

Day 10: February 8

• Check out and drive to Te Anau
• Check in at Fiordland Lodge or Cabot Lodge

Day 11: February 9

• Fly Fishing or short hike

Day 12: February 10

• Check out and drive to Queenstown
• Check in at Hulbert House

Day 13: February 11

• Boat cruise of Doubtful Sound
