13 Nights | October/November 2024
This two-week adventure to East Africa is a classic safari through some of Tanzania’s best experiential luxury camps. You will enjoy excellent guiding, game viewing, and African hospitality around Tarangire and Serengeti National Park, before spending a blissful four nights unwinding in Seychelles.
- Safari Price: $28,642
- Seychelles Price: $7,710.90
- Flights: Flight suggestions are linked below.
Sep 21: Flight
The fastest and most affordable route I’ve found is on Ethiopian Airlines via DC. This will allow you to skip a European layover by flying through Addis Ababa.

Legendary Lodge (1 night)
You will start your safari in Arusha, Tanzania, at Legendary Lodge, a cozy boutique hotel where you can unwind after the long flight.
Inclusions:
- Kilimanjaro Meet & Greet
- VIP Lounge

September 23-24: Chem Chem & Tarangire
Little Chem Chem (2 nights)
The next morning, take a short flight or drive to Little Chem Chem on the border of Tarangire National Park for your first safari. This is a fantastic luxury tented camp that promotes a “slow safari” and has great style and a solid record of wildlife conservation. Here, you can go on traditional game drives, walk (or jog) with the Maasai, and even see thousands of flamingoes on Lake Manyara if the flocks are nearby.
Inclusions:
- Legendary Lodge to Arusha Airport
- Coastal Aviation (Dep Arusha) – Arusha – Chem Chem
- Little Chem Chem – Vintage Tent
- Chem Chem Association Contribution
- Conservation & Community Fees
- Tourism Development Levy
- Tarangire Park Fees
Sep 25-27: Northern Serengeti
Nyasi Migrational Camp (3 nights)
From Chem Chem, take a short flight to the northern Serengeti. Your destination is Nyasi Migrational Camp, a classic canvas camp that follows the wildebeest migration. The camp has fewer amenities but is by no means rugged. It’s a great place to immerse yourself in the wild. Days will be spent on game drives looking for lions, cheetahs, and other large herbivores. There are no guarantees, but this is right along the border with Kenya. You may catch the vast herds of wildebeest and zebra crossing back and forth, searching for fresh grass. This is the best place for a hot air balloon ride.
Inclusions:
- Coastal Aviation (Dep Chem Chem) – Chem Chem – Serengeti Lamai
- Nyasi Migrational Camp – Lamai (North) – Tented Room
- Serengeti Park Fee
- Serengeti Camping Fee
Sep 28-30: Southern Serengeti
Mwiba Lodge (3 nights)
You will end your safari adventure at Mwiba Lodge – one of the most luxurious lodges in the Serengeti region and one of the few on private reserves. The safari is excellent here, but you will enjoy soaking up the view from your room. The lodge is perched on a rocky outcrop that overlooks the savannah. Beyond safaris, there are authentic cultural opportunities with the local Datoga people, who are less tourist-focused than the Maasai. These camps also have amazing helicopter excursions.
Inclusions:
- Coastal Aviation (Dep Serengeti Lamai) – Serengeti Lamai – Serengeti Mwiba
- Mwiba Lodge – Tented Suite
- Mwiba Conservation Fee
Oct 1: Travel to Seychelles
Depart Mwiba in the late morning and arrive at Kilimanjaro airport around 1pm. From here you can connect to an evening flight to Nairobi where you will catch the 10pm flight to Seychelles.
