Alejandra’s Kenyan Honeymoon

Mara Nyika Camp / Courtesy of Great Plains Conservation

June 2025 | 9 Nights | $7,066 per person

I’ve priced out a really fun 9-night itinerary for June 2025, when the rains have abated. It includes two diverse safari stops and a few nights on the beach to relax at the end of your stay. This price includes domestic but not international flights. All inclusions are listed at the bottom.

Night 1-3: Safari Series

This intimate family-run camp is located in the Laikipia Plateau region around Mount Kenya. Higher elevation means lovely weather year-round, and because of conservation measures, the wildlife is beginning to rival the Maasai Mara. More Information

Night 4-6: Enkewa Mara

Enkewa is a rarity in the Maasai Mara—a nice camp located in a private conservancy with plenty of space away from the crowds. The location gives you access to the national park, and it also has great wildlife viewing in an area where you can traverse off-road to get closer to wildlife. This will be an amazing safari finale with plenty of animals. More Information

Night 7-9: Manda Bay

I love to end a safari with a few nights on the beach. Lamu is a beautiful natural and cultural destination with blue waters and a long history in the spice trade. It’s more under the radar than Zanzibar, so you’ll have a more authentic experience. The beachfront room is a stunning honeymoon getaway. More Information
