Andros is the largest island in the Bahamas yet it is also the least developed. It’s known for its laid back beauty and the magnificent Andros Barrier reef, the third largest in the world. Kamalame Cay is a 97-acre private island retreat located just off the east coast covered in white sand beaches, palm groves, and jungle gardens. Each of the property’s 22 oceanfront cottages is unique, and accommodate couples, families, and small groups, because layouts range from one to four bedrooms. It’s a stylish place to unplug on the beach, or enjoy the only overwater spa in the Bahamas.

If you’re feeling active, it is also the best place in the Bahamas for fishing and diving. Experienced guides can lead you through the flats and mangrove creeks in search of bonefish. The resort also has a fully equipped, PADI-rated dive center, where you can earn your dive certification or take a snorkeling excursion to the area’s best coral gardens.
