Pacuare Lodge

The scenic Pacuare River is one of the best destinations for white water rafting in Costa Rica. It flows down from the central mountains into the Caribbean through Limón Province among rocky cliffs and rainforests. Pacuare Lodge is the ideal base for exploring it all. The lodge specializes in an operating array of outdoor adventure activities, including rafting, zip lining, and canopy tours.

The creatively designed luxury eco-retreat straddles are perched along the river banks and connected through a series of delightful decks and manicured trails. The rooms are inspired by indigenous architecture, are effortlessly stylish, and are well-positioned to maximize immersion in nature. Many have large private verandahs and spring-fed pools. No trees were cut in the building of the bungalows and they were built with lumber from a reforestation project run by small farmers.
