Jabali Ridge is a chic safari camp in Ruaha National Park, in the less-touristed southern half of Tanzania. Ruaha is one of the largest parks in the country and the landscape contains elements typical of both East and Southern African environments. The camp is perched like a bird’s nest atop a rocky outcrop overlooking a wide savannah dotted with baobab trees and elephants. The eight luxury suites open up completely to the expansive view and hammocks are provided to take it all in. The dramatic infinity pool and camp spa are other good places to unwind after a day in the bush.
Morning and afternoon drives or walks are included in the experience. Guests may see kudu, sable antelope, giraffes, wild dogs, or one of the many large lion prides that roam the area while out. A modified photo safari vehicle with swivel seats and bean bags is available for wildlife photographers on request. The best wildlife viewing in Ruaha is from June to November when the park dries up. Jabali Ridge is closed from Mid-March through May for the hot and rainy season.
