Bumi Hills

Lake Kariba, located on the Zambezi River halfway between Victoria Falls and Mana Pools, is the largest manmade lake in Africa. Bumi Hills Safari Lodge is located in a private concession on a hilltop on the lakeshore with panoramic views of the water. The ten air-conditioned rooms of the lodge are all decorated in a contemporary African style and have deep soaking tubs and private balconies to unwind on. There is also a two-bedroom villa available for families or VIPs that includes a private dining deck, safari vehicle, and butler. The lodge’s large infinity pool and dining terraces are arguably the best place to watch the sunset anywhere on the lake.

Bumi Hills’s proximity to Matusidona National Park ensures a healthy wildlife population in the private concession. Game drives and walking safaris are both offered by the lodge, but water-focused activities such as boat safaris, fishing, and sunset cruises make the destination stand out. Sightings of elephants, lions, and other plains game walking along the waterfront are unforgettable.
