Uganda
Uganda is a small country nestled in the highlands of East Africa. Its forests hold the highest concentrations of primates on Earth, including the rare mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Most people visit Uganda to see them, but the country has much more to offer. Queen Elizabeth and Kidepo Valley National Parks have classic savannah safari landscapes complete with lions and elephants, while the headwaters of the Nile River and Lake Victoria offer opportunities for aquatic exploration. Except for the arid north, Uganda has pleasant temperatures for most of the year because of the altitude.
