July 13-20, 2024

Saturday, July 13: Arrival

Arrive at the airport. While you wait for Adam’s parents to arrive you could dine at El Bungalow on the beach in Ciudad Jardin. It’s a local spot and is around a 7-minute drive from the airport. Open from 1-4 pm and 7-11 pm.

Pick up your rental car and drive to Ca Na Volantina Villa in Pollensa.

Sunday, July 14: Settle In & Stock Up

If time and energy allow, visit a market to pick up produce for the week. The Sunday market in nearby Alcudia is nice (approximately 20min drive) and the Pollensa Market is also really good and very large. Just make sure you get to the Pollensa one early to beat the crowds.. Stalls are open from 9-2 pm, and while some vendors take credit, cash is required for most. Spend the afternoon relaxing and settling into your home for the week.

Monday, July 15: Explore the Area

Explore your local area at your own pace. See the guide to restaurants and shops at beaches at the bottom.

Tuesday, July 16: Palma

Spend the day at the villa or at the market in Alcudia if you missed it on Sunday. In the evening, head to Palma and enjoy a private art tour at the Miro Foundation at 5 pm (350€ + entrance tickets 10€/each) . There is free parking, and your guide is Juan Waelder (+34693806459). You can meet up inside at the entrance by the ticket office at 4:30 pm (in the shade).

You have dinner reservations at La Bodeguilla at 7 pm and should probably leave the Miro by 6:15 or so to make it in time. Here’s a map to the parking area in Palma from Miro. And from the parking area, it’s about an 8 minute walk to the restaurant. Here’s the map of that.
