This Kenya itinerary is one of the best family routings available and covers the wildlife-rich Laikipia Plateau near Mount Kenya and the drylands of the Samburu North. This one spends less time in Nairobi to start, and instead opts for a deep immersion in culture and wildlife at Reteti. After a pause and alternative adventures at Olepangi Farm, your wildlife climax will be at the Lewa Conservancy in the shadow of Mount Kenya. From Lewa, the group splits into different activities: the families with kids return to Nairobi for a Giraffe Centre Visit, while the rest climb Mount Kenya or enjoy a more leisurely walking safari.

Monday, May 24 — Arrival in Nairobi

Four Points Sheraton Nairobi
Four Points Sheraton Nairobi

Arrive in Nairobi in the evening and after being greeted by a representative, transfer to your airport hotel, the Four Points Nairobi. This will be a time to simply rest up with the kids before your safari, and this hotel is convenient, comfortable, and affordable.
